Cities Clean-up: Cyanotyping Garbage
art project
2017-2020
In this project, a trolly was made into a walking cyanotype station as attempt to highlight the idea of “garbage” produced in our modern cityscape. Concomitantly, I hosted workshops and encouraged the participants to walk in the cities, collect garbage, and resurrect the discarded materials by way of turning them into cyanotype prints.
While we’re collecting the materials for cyanotype, we were also cleaning up the street. During the cyanotype printing process, we successfully created an opportunity to raise the awareness of how much garbage we create in our daily lives.
